THE RA HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The RA Historical Society exists to encourage an interest in the organization, equipment and history of the Royal Artillery. Full membership is open to Serving and Retired, Regular and Reserve Gunners. Affiliate membership may be offered to others whose applications are supported in writing by a full member of the Society.
Society lectures take place three times a year usually at the Royal School of Artillery at Larkhill and cover a wide range of artillery campaigns, battles, personalities and technical subjects. The Society arranges Battlefield Tours and visits to places of interest in the UK each year.
Lectures are followed by Society Lunches, which are excellent opportunities for members to network and obtain information on historical subjects of interest from other members and from lecturers
Society members receive a copy of the Annual Proceedings which enable them to catch up with lectures they have missed.
The Society is financially self-supporting and the annual subscription is £15. This excludes RAHS Events which are charged separately.
